Rio All Suites Hotel & Casino

I made another visit to Las Vegas recently, I stayed the the Rio All Suites Hotel and Casino on this latest trip. While I have been to the Rio on many occasions, this was the first time that I have actually stayed there.  I liked it, I give it high marks, it's still fairly new and in good repair, the rooms are nicely anointed and large (all suites), the pool area was nice, there are plenty of drinking/clubbing options within the hotel, there's also plenty of gaming options available and most importantly it's affordable. Check-in was fast.  Staff was friendly.  There were no hidden resort fee's.  I saw no signs of bed bugs!  The Carnival World Buffet is without a doubt one of the better buffets in Vegas.  Downside?  It's not on the strip, Vegas just seems better from the strip.  They do have a shuttle that runs all day to take you to the strip but it's just not the same.  I also didn't like the fact that they charged hotel guests to get into the Voodoo Beach pool (guys anyways), you'd think they'd throw that perk at hotel guests.  The CG options were also a bit limited if you're into that sort of thing.  A few more lower cost eating options would have been nice too (I don't need a sit down meal all the time, a quick burger and fries will suffice some of the time).  Overall, I recommend it if you don't feel a great need to be on the strip, I'm certainly open to staying there again.
