Did you catch the last Presidential debate of 2012? It was also Barack Obama's last ever debate. This debate was on foreign policy.
I have to say, Mitt Romney really seemed out of his element. He seemed to agree with many of President Obama's policies, it was almost like he was going into the prevent defense. Aren't you suppose to contrast your differences in debates, give people a reason to make a change? I didn't see it tonight. There were some small differences, Romney would maybe try to talk a little tougher and he would throw more money at the military, but that's about it. Looking a little deeper into the debate, Romney also seems to have no clue about diplomacy, his tough talk on China lacked some credibility, and his doubling down on the auto industry bailout is starting to get embarrassing. I also thought that President Obama made a strong point when he spoke of Romney's fluctuating positions and how it would lessen his credibility among foreign leaders who are looking for consistency. I'm not buying into the kinder gentler Mitt Romney either.
Big win in this debate to Barack Obama, he was much more Presidential, much more pragmatic and much more credible. I have a much harder time seeing Mitt Romney as the Commander In Chief. By my scoreboard, there were 4 debates (3 Presidential + 1 Vice Presidential), Obama/Biden won all 4. Yeah, that's right, I've decided to give Obama the first debate too, I just cannot get past how many lies, distortions and changes of positions Romney took in that debate.
