TPSG NFL Mock Draft 4.0

With the Redskins acquiring the 2nd pick of the draft from the Rams, Peyton Manning picking a team and most of the major free agent moves having taken place, I think it's a good time for an updated mock.  Here goes:
  1. Colts - Andrew Luck - QB - Stanford
  2. Redskins - Robert Griffin III - QB - Baylor
  3. Vikings - Matt Kalil - OT - USC ****
  4. Brown - Justin Blackmon - WR - Oklahoma State ****
  5. Bucs - Trent Richardson - RB - Alabama
  6. Rams - Morris Claiborne - CB - LSU ****
  7. Jaguars - Quinton Coples - DE - North Carolina
  8. Dolphins - Ryan Tannehill - QB - Texas A&M ****
  9. Panthers - Dontari Poe - DT - Memphis
  10. Bills - Riley Reiff - OT - Iowa
  11. Chiefs - David DeCastro - OG - Stanford
  12. Seahawks - Luke Kuechly - LB - Boston College
  13. Cardinals - Jonathan Martin - OT - Stanford ****
  14. Cowboys - Dre Kirkpatrick - CB - Alabama
  15. Eagles - Michael Brockers - DT - LSU
  16. Jets - Melvin Ingram - DE/LB - South Carolina
  17. Bengals - Stephon Gilmore - CB - South Carolina
  18. Chargers - Cordy Glenn - OG - Georgia
  19. Bears - Whitney Mercilus - DE - Illinois
  20. Titans - Fletcher Cox - DT - Mississippi State
  21. Bengals - Courtney Upshaw - LB - Alabama
  22. Browns - Coby Fleener - TE - Stanford
  23. Lions - Mike Adams - OT - Ohio St
  24. Steelers - Devon Still - DT - Penn St
  25. Broncos - Michael Floyd - WR - Notre Dame
  26. Texans - Stephen Hill - WR - Georgia Tech
  27. Patriots - Dont'a Hightower - LB - Alabama
  28. Packers - Jerel Worthy - DT - Michigan St
  29. Ravens - Mark Barron - DB - Alabama
  30. 49ers - Reuben Randle - WR - LSU
  31. Patriots - Janoris Jenkins - CB - North Alabama
  32. Giants - Zach Brown - LB - North Carolina
**The Vikings have been making noise about liking Morris Claiborne at #3 and he'd fill a huge need for the Vikings but I have to believe that it's a smokescreen, Kalil is just too obvious of a choice.
****The Browns have huge needs at WR & RB & QB, if they use the BPA approach I don't see how they can pass on Blackmon.

****CB is probably not the most pressing need for the Rams, I suspect they'd love to see Blackmon slide to number 6, but I don't see it after Blackmon's pro day, Claiborne would be BPA at that point.

****Personally, I think it would be a reach to take Ryan Tannehill at #8 but the Dolphins really need to solve their QB problems.  I can see Ryan Tannehill as this years version of Christian Ponder.

****The Cardinals are desperate for a LT, I'm not certain that they pick one at this spot though, if they are intent upon picking an OT I'm thinking they might be willing to trade down some and get one a little further down.  Personally, I love to see Michael Floyd go here, they are still looking for a replacement for Anquan Bolden.   I also wouldn't be shocked if they went defense, perhaps Melvin Ingram, Courtney Upshaw or maybe even a CB like Dre Kirkpatrick or Stephon Gilmore to team with Patrick Peterson.   In other words, who knows.

      Obama Accomplishments

Is it really time for a change?   I for one say "Hell No!"  Check out this list of Barack Obama accomplishments in his first term.
      1. Staved off a depression (24 straight months of private sector job growth)
      2. Crippled Al Queida.
      3. Passed Healthcare Reform.
      4. Saved the American automotive industry.
      5. Implemented the full withdrawal of troops from Iraq.
      6. Passed Financial Industry Reform.
      7. Appointed 2 new judges to the Supreme Court.
      8. Ended 'Don't Ask Don't Tell' .
      9. Removed restrictions on embryonic stem cells.
      10. Increased funding for Pell Grants.
All of this with unprecedented obstructionism from the GOP.  A second term seems reasonable to me.

      1. Colts - Andrew Luck - QB - Stanford
      2. Rams - Robert Griffin III - QB - Baylor ***
      3. Vikings - Matt Kalil - OT - USC ***
      4. Browns - Justin Blackmon - WR - Oklahoma St
      5. Bucs - Trent Richardson - RB - Alabama
      6. Redskins - Morris Claiborne - CB - LSU
      7. Jaguars - Melvin Ingram - DE/OLB - South Carolina
      8. Dolphins - Riley Reiff - OT - Iowa

      16. Jets - Mark Barron - DB - Alabama
      17. Bengals - David DeCastro - OG - Stanford

      30. 49ers - Mohamed Sanu - WR - Rutgers
      31. Patriots - Janoris Jenkins - CB - North Alabama
      32. Giants - Dwayne Allen - TE - Clemson
*** I'm fairly confident that RGII will be going at the number 2 spot, I'm also fairly confident that it will not be the Rams drafting him, somebody is going to be trading up, my guess would be either the Browns, the Redskins, the Dolphins or the Seahawks.   I'm going to slot him at number 2 for now as to get a better read on the rest of the first round.

*** The Vikings are going to have both Matt Kalil and Robert Blackmon to choose between, either one would be a good fit but I'm guessing they go the OL route and address the WR spot in free agency (I keep hearing Vincent Jackson rumblings).

I'll update my mock draft again after free agency hits.
