Washington State 37, Arizona State 32

The Sun Devils fell to Washington State 37-32 tonight in Tempe.  Arizona State falls to 5-3 on the season with this loss.  Considering all of their injuries, ASU kept this game closer than I thought they would.  The lack of any sort of consistent QB play was just too much to overcome though.  They did show lots of heart though and kept battling so that's a positive.  I predict they limp through their remaining schedule.

Observations:

• Manny Wilkins got the start and scored a quick touchdown. 
• Dillion Sterling-Cole is a better athlete than a QB at this point. 
• The Arizona State defense was on the field way too much tonight. 
• PAC12 officiating leaves much to be desired. 
• ASU used a lot of trickery on offense tonight. 
• The Sun Devils continue to have success with the Sparky Formation. 
• It was nice to see Kalen Ballage score a touchdown again. 
• Injuries are really starting to decimate the Sun Devils. 
• The Sun Devils found their pass rush tonight. 
• I'm going to guess that Todd Graham & Mike Leach don't like each other much.

• Koron Crump had a heckuva game for the Sun Devils. 
• Jack Smith has shown the value of a good walk on program. 
• D.J. Calhoun can be a really good player sometimes. 
• It's always nice when Zane Gonzalez kicks off out of the end zone. 
• Arizona State pulled it's old Sparky helmets out for this one. 
• The Sun Devils really are becoming America's evening team.
