USC 41, Arizona State 20

The Sun Devils got their asses handed to them 41-20 tonight in Los Angeles.  The Sun Devils fall to 4-1 on the season.  Anybody who has watched the Sun Devils play this season had to see this coming, they are not nearly as good as their record indicates.  The Arizona State defense is just horrid, they'd better figure things out quickly.  Their offense really struggled too, slow down their running game and you slow down their offense.  The schedule is really tough from here on out, they just may have trouble becoming bowl eligible.  They need to right this ship fast.

Observations:

• I didn't see much effort out of the Sun Devils in this one.  
• Those 2 garbage time touchdowns by ASU made it look closer than it appears. 
• So much for that top rated Sun Devils offense. 
• We saw why ASU ranked 120th out of 128 in total defense today. 
• That injury to Manny Wilkens did not look pretty.  
• Brady White got his first Arizona State game tonight.  
• At least Zane Gonzalez broke the PAC12 Field Goal record. 
• Total Yards:  USC 523, Arizona State 303
• Rushing Yards:  USC 157, Arizona State 75
• First Downs:  USC 23, Arizona State 16
• Turnovers:  Arizona State 1, USC 0
• I'm guessing that Kalen Ballage's Heisman hopes died tonight.  9 yards on 6 carries.
• Who in the heck is Nick Ralston? 
• I was starting to think that the Sun Devils wouldn't score a touchdown tonight. 
• Justin Davis looked pretty good running the ball for USC. 
• I had forgotten that Clancy Pendergrast was coaching at USC. 
• It's hard to believe that it was Clay Helton who as on the hot seat before this game.  
• Are you aware that Ray Anderson did not hire Todd Graham? 
• The Los Angeles Coliseum did look nice. 
• Up next?  UCLA @ Sun Devil Stadium next Saturday.
