Rams 17, Cardinals 13

The Cardinals fell to the Rams 17-13 today in Glendale.  The Cardinals fall to 1-3 on the season with this loss.  It was a winnable game, the Cardinals just couldn't put the Rams away and the Rams made them pay for it.  The Cardinals are just playing a real sloppy brand of football right now.  Not having Carson Palmer for the last two offensive drives didn't help matters either.  You do have to give the Rams some credit too though, their defense is legit, they had Carson Palmer on his heels all game.  Who would have thought that both the Cardinals and Panthers would start out the season 1-3?  The Cardinals need to get things turned around in a hurry.

Observations:

• The Cardinals have been surprisingly slow starters this season. 
• I hope that Carson Palmer is ready to go on Thursday. 
• A healthy John Brown adds a lot to the Cardinals offense. 
• Interceptions in the end zone are the worst.  
• I'm guessing that Michael Floyd is not around next season.  
• Is it time to consider that teams have caught up to the Cardinals deep passing offense?
• The Cardinals draft class continues to disappoint. 
• Turnovers:  Cardinals 5, Rams 1
• First Downs:  Cardinals 26, Rams 12
• Total Plays:  Cardinals 75, Rams 55
• It was nice to see Chris Johnson getting more playing time. 
• Carson Palmer career yardage numbers are climbing into elite status. 
• The Cardinals had some costly early penalties.  
• That was a costly fumble by David Johnson in the second half. 
• I have no doubt that Larry Fitzgerald will be a first ballot Hall of Famer. 
• My confidence in Drew Stanton drops every time I see him play. 
• Is there is a better interior defensive lineman in football than Aaron Donald?  
• This was the Cardinals first game against the Los Angels Rams since 09/04/94.
• The Cardinals new long snapper Aaron Brewer did a nice job. 
• Up next?  @ San Francisco 49ers on Thursday night.
