USA 81, Turkey 64

The USA won it's first World Championship in Basketball since 1994 today when they beat Turkey 81-64.  It's hard to believe it's been that long since they've won a World Championship but excluding the Olympics they have struggled some with their "B" and "C" teams (i.e. their top players have been hesitant to play in World Championships).  Kevin Durant did play and he scored 28 points, he was clearly the top player in this tournament and I think you now have to put him in the discussion for best player in the world (along with Kobe, LeBron & Dwayne Wade), I would assume he's a shoe in for the 2012 Olympic team.  Congrats to the Americans!!!
