Northern Illinois 34, Minnesota 23

Yikes, Gophers lose to Northern Illinios 34-23.  Losses to South Dakota and Northern Illinois in the same year (both at home too).  I hate to say it, but Tim Brewster needs to go, this should not be happening in his 4th year as head coach, they should be progressing not regressing.  Scary thing is, the Big Ten schedule starts next week and I don't know that I see another win on the horizon.  Observations?  1-tackling was again atrocious, they really need to get that straightened out quickly.  2-MarQueis Gray is easily the most talented Gopher on the field, why they don't give him some snaps at QB is beyond me.  3-Their new oversimplified pound the rock offense is not working, they really need to mix things up a bit more.  4-Al Golden are you interested in the job???

****OREGON 42, ARIZONA ST 31****
You can't win when you turn the ball over 7 times as ASU found out in Saturday nights 42-31 loss to Oregon. Those turnovers where just killers.  Give some credit to Oregon too, they are a very talented team, they could very well being playing for the National Championship this January.  Observations?   1-obviously they need to more secure with the ball.  2-ASU has lots of playmakers on offense, you can't help but be impressed.  3-Vontaze Burfict is a monster, if he stays healthy he will be a future number 1 draft pick.  4-The defense, while they do have some talent, doesn't appear to be very deep, especially along the defensive line..
