Rams 24, Cardinals 22

The Cardinals lost their first game of the season today, 24-22 at home to the Rams.  This was a tough one, they kept making mistakes and kept coming back from those mistakes, they just seemed to run out of time at the end.  The Rams are a good team too though, don't sleep on them, their defense is loaded, Todd Gurley has the makings of a beast and I'm guessing Nick Foles continues to improve as he becomes more familiar with the Rams offense and their personnel.  Tough loss, shake it of Cards!

Observations:
  • That fumble on the opening kickoff by the Cardinals was a bad omen.
  • The Cardinals had not trailed in a game this season until that first Rams touchdown.
  • 5 field goals from Chandler Catanzaro is not always a good thing
  • I'm pretty sure that was a fumble by the Rams in the fourth quarter.
  • The Rams scored 17 points off of 3 Cardinal turnovers.
  • Calais Campbell had a monster game today for the Cardinals.
  • The Cardinals averaged 5.3 yards per carry today, their running game is much improved.
  • You have up and down days when you play rookies.
  • Total Yards:  Cardinals 447, Rams 328
  • Total Plays:  Cardinals 71, Rams 51
  • First Downs:  Cardinals 26, Rams 13
  • Turnovers:  Cardinals 3, Rams 0
  • Perhaps the Cardinals were getting a bit over confident going into this game.
  • The Rams defense is really good, it's going to keep them in most games
  • Nick Foles had his best game as a Ram today.
  • The Cardinals offense really struggled when it mattered most today.
  • Have the Rams finally figured out how to use Tavon Austin
  • It appears that Todd Gurley is going to be a good RB
  • I really like the Cardinals black alternate home uniforms.
  • Up next?  @ Detroit Lions next Sunday.
