Arizona State 38, UCLA 23

Arizona State went into Los Angeles and knocked off UCLA 29-16 tonight.  The Sun Devils improve to 3-2 on the season with this win.  You have to give Todd Graham a lot of credit for getting his Sun Devils ready to go after last weeks debacle.  This was easily the best the Sun Devils had looked this season.  They went on the road and really took it to the number 7 ranked team in the country.  Nice win!

Observations:

• That TD run by Kalen Ballage late in game was amazing! 
• I can't recall a team getting 2 safties in one game before.  
• That was a gutsy 4th down call by Todd Graham in the 4th quarter. 
• ASU's offense does seem better when there is a threat to run from the QB. 
• That was easily Mike Bercovici's best game of the season. 
• Tim White is becoming a heckuva kick returner. 
• Keep Mike Norvell on the sidelines please. 
• Tashon Smallwood really stepped up his play today. 
• Total Yards: Arizona State 465, UCLA 342
• Time of Possession:  Arizona State 37:47, UCLA 22:20
• D.J. Foster is cementing himself as one of ASU's All Time greats. 
• Despite giving up 23 points, ASU did an outstanding job on defense. 
• Matt Haack really redeemed himself with his punting today. 
• That was the highest ranked team that ASU has beaten under Todd Graham.
• Did the Sun Devils really try the fumbleruskie? 
• I really like the new Desert Hammer uniforms from the Sun Devils.  
• Nice showing by the ASU fans in Los Angeles. 
• Josh Rosen has NFL potential written all over him. 
• Up next?  Colorado @ Sun Devil Stadium next Saturday night.
