Arizona St 20, Missouri 24

ASU falls to Missouri 24-20 today in their first road test of the year.  They just built themselves too big of a hole to climb out of, they were trailing 24-7 at one point in the second half, they made a game of it late though.  The dreaded missed extra point really came back to haunt them late in the game as they would have been a chip shot away from tying the game late (instead forcing them to go for a TD late).  They showed a lot of heart in fighting back, they have no one to blame but themselves though (they had 4 turnovers), it was a winnable game. 

Observations:

• You had to be impressed with QB Taylor Kelly, he showed a lot of poise down the stretch getting the Sun Devils back into the game.
• Welcome back Brandon Magee, nice to see you on the field.
• Where for art though Cameron Marshall?   
• Mike Pennel really stood out to me, he played well at DT.  
• Missouri played without starting QB James Franklin. 
• ASU needs to do a better job running the ball  (113 yards on 31 carries, just a 3.1 average). 
• Chris Young is really becoming a force in the Sun Devil secondary.   
• Missouri DT Sheldon Richardson is a monster. 
• Still no PAC-12 Network deal with Directv?  What's up with that?
• Up next?  PAC12 opener @ Sun Devil Stadium against Utah.
