Packers crush the Vikings 45-7 tonight in Green Bay on Monday Night Football. The Vikings fall to 2-7 on the season, the Packers move to 9-0. It was a pretty embarrassing performance by the Vikings, they got outplayed in every aspect of the game. I guess you do need to give the Packers some credit too, they are damn good. For the Vikings? It may be time to look towards the draft, a LT would be nice (Matt Kalil?) as would a number 1 WR (Justin Blackmon/Michael Floyd?) or maybe a CB (Morris Claiborne?).
Observations:
-Can we just give Aaron Rodgers the MVP Award right now?
-Rodgers has 18 TDs vs just 3 INT's in his last 5 games against Vikes.
-Vikings could use help at CB. Thanks Chris Cook.
-The Vikings offensive line is bad.
-Another sack for Jared Allen, his chase for the NFL single season sack record is one of the few things keeping me interested in the Vikings this year. He's now at 13.5, the record is 22.5 by Michael Strahan in 2001. 7 games left to get there.
-Did the Vikings really use Everson Griffen as a gunner on punt coverage?
-Should I mention again that Bill Cowher is still out there? Just saying.
-It might be a good time to buy some Packer stock.
-When did Jon Gruden get so annoying?
-Up next are the Raiders (5-4) @ Mall of America Field in Minneapolis, MN.
