.... for AZ State Senate against incumbent Russell Pearce in tomorrow's recall election. There is nobody more responsible for the current sullied image of the state of Arizona than Russell Pearce. His name belongs with the likes of such notorious Arizonans as Evan Mecham, Fife Symington & Charles Keating. He is a rigid utlra-conservative ideologue who uses his spot as Senate President to bully his political opponents. He needs to be replaced. Given the fact that 16K+ voters in his district signed a recall petition to replace him leads me to believe that I'm not alone in that belief either. The state would be much better served by someone with a much more pragmatic style of governing. From everything I have heard Jerry Lewis is that man, so I urge all registered voters in Mesa's Legislative District 18 to get out and vote for Jerry Lewis tomorrow.
****Election Results****
Jerry Lewis defeats Russell Pearce 53% to 45%. Pearce clearly misread his mandate and overplayed his hand and he paid for it. I'm guessing we will see him running again sometime soon though.
