Cardinals 19, Falcons 23

The Cardinals fall again, this time 23-19 to the Falcons in Atlanta.  The Cardinals have now lost 6 games in a row, they are really reeling.  Their offense is just not cutting it at this point, the injuries to Levi Brown, Beanie Wells & Kevin Kolb really decimated their offense.  Today they only gained 178 total yards today, that doesn't win may games.  I was a bit puzzled by the benching of John Skelton, while I agree that he wasn't lighting the world on fire, they were up 13-0 at the time, it just seemed like an odd time to bring in a 6th round rookie QB with no NFL experience, on the road, against one of the better teams in the NFL.  At some point Ken Whisenhunt may just lose this team. 

Observations:

• How do you lose a game in which you intercept 5 passes?  
• The Falcons are not that impressive for a 9-1 team.   
• They don't come much tougher than LaRod Stephens-Howling.   
• Was Adrian Wilson also benched?  
• Ryan Lindley is not ready to be a starting NFL QB.  
• Could Kevin Kolb be back next week?
• Rookie OT Nate Potter struggled with John Abraham.  
• I'm guessing the Cardinals would like to cut their loses with Todd Heap. 
• The Cardinals seem to have mastered the art of the losing streak. 
• Up next?  @ home against the St Louis Rams next Sunday.
