TPSG 2013 NFL Mock Draft 2.0

Now that the NFL Scouting Combine has come and gone, I thought that it would be a good time to update my NFL Mock Draft, so here goes, version 2.0:
  1. Kansas City Chiefs - Luke Joekel - OT - Texas A&M
  2. Jacksonville Jaguars - Jarvis Jones - OLB - Georgia
  3. Oakland Raiders - Sharrif Floyd - DT - Florida
  4. Philadelphia Eagles - Dion Jordan - DE - Oregon
  5. Detroit Lions - Barkevious Mingo - DE - LSU
  6. Cleveland Browns - Dee Milliner - CB - Alabama
  7. Arizona Cardinals - Eric Fisher - OT - Central Michigan
  8. Buffalo Bills - Geno Smith - QB - West Virginia
  9. New York Jets - Cordarelle Patterson - WR - Tennessee
  10. Tennessee Titans - Chance Warmack - OG - Alabama
  11. San Diego Chargers - Lane Johnson - OT - Oklahoma
  12. Miami Dolphins - Bjoern Werner - DE - Florida State
  13. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Xavier Rhodes - CB - Florida State
  14. Carolina Panthers - Star Lotulelei - DT - Utah
  15. New Orleans Saints - Sheldon Richardson - DT - Missouri
  16. St Louis Rams - Jonathan Cooper - OG - North Carolina
  17. Pittsburgh Steelers - Kenny Vaccarro - S - Texas
  18. Dallas Cowboys - Jonathan Hankins - DT - Ohio State
  19. New York Giants - Ezekiel Ansah - DE - BYU
  20. Chicago Bears - Tyler Eifert - TE - Notre Dame
  21. Cincinnati Bengals - Damontre Moore - DE - Texas A&M
  22. St Louis Rams - Keenan Allen - WR - California
  23. Minnesota Vikings - Jesse Williams - DT - Alabama
  24. Indianapolis Colts - Desmond Trufant - CB - Washington
  25. Seattle Seahawks - Datone Jones - DE - UCLA
  26. Green Bay Packers - Eddie Lacey - RB - Alabama
  27. Houston Texans - DeAndre Hopkins - WR - Clemson
  28. Danver Broncos - John Jenkins - DT - Georgia
  29. New England Patriots - Tavon Austin - WR - West Virginia
  30. Atlanta Falcons - Zach Ertz - TE - Stanford
  31. San Francisco 49ers - Kawann Short - DT - Purdue
  32. Baltimore Ravens - Eric Reid - S - LSU
Notes:
  • With the Chiefs picking up Alex Smith from the 49ers to play QB I suspect that they will look for OL help to keep him healthy.  They could certainly be swayed by some of the top DL though.
  • There are some red flags on Jarvis Jones but the Jags really need a speed rusher to fit Gus Bradley's new defense and at the end of the day I still think Jarvis Jones will, and should, go in the top 5 picks.
  • The Raiders may be tempted by Geno Smith, but I suspect they end up looking for DL help.
  • Eagles may go OL, I'm just suspecting that Chip Kelly, having seen firsthand the havoc that Dion Jordan can wreak, may want to see Jordan lining up on his defense though.
  • The Lions have an impressive interior DL but they could really use an outside pass rusher.  Milliner, or OL help wouldn't be farfetched either at that point.
  • The Cardinals may also be tempted by Geno Smith but I'm guessing they go OL, then renegotiate with Kevin Kolb and then finally look for a QB in rounds 2-4.
  • If Geno Smith is available to the Bills, I don't see them passing on him.  They may be tempted by DL help though.
  • The Jets need playmakers on offense, desperately.  Rex Ryan loves his pass rushers though so they could go that direction also.
  • The Giants would be thrilled if Ezekiel Ansah drops to them at number 19, he seems to be a fast riser though, come draft day he could very well go in the top 10.
  • I'm sticking with my assertion that the Vikings will take the highest rated player on their board who plays either WR, DT or LB.  In this case, in this mock, that would be Jessie Williams
  • The Packers could use OL help but they are way past due to fill that hole at RB.
  • There are rumblings that Wes Welker may have played his last game with the Patriots.  If that's the case, Tavon Austin would be a perfect fit in that offense to replace him.
  • Mock Draft 3.0 will come out some time after free agency shakes out a bit.
Previous Mock:  Version 1.0.
