TPSG 2013 NFL Mock Draft 1.0

Now that the Super Bowl has come and gone, it seems like a good time to reveal my 2013 NFL Mock Draft 1.0.  Keep in mind, it's still early in the process, things are bound to change after free agency, the Scouting Combine and possible trades, but as of today, here's how I see it shaking out.

 Notes:
  • It sounds like the Chiefs are still debating whether or not to take a QB number 1 overall or wait until the top of round 2.  I'd advise them to take the QB number 1 overall.  QB is the most important position on the field, I would think that it's better to take the QB you are highest on than advertising to everybody that you will wait until round number 2 (thus allowing teams to trade ahead of you).
  • I hope the Cardinals watched the Super Bowl very carefully and noticed the ability of Joe Flacco and Colin Kaepernick to stretch the field, they're not going to get that out of Kevin Kolb.  Mike Glennon reminds me a lot of Flacco, they're both tall, strong armed QB's who can make all the throws.  I think he'd be a good fit in Arizona and a good fit in an Arians offense.  Number 7 overall may be a bit of a reach for Glennon but as noted above for the Chiefs, QB is the most important position on the field, it needs to be addressed.  They can then go OL in round 2.  If they don't go QB in round 1, I would expect them to look heavily at Eric Fisher
  • I'm not positive that the Bills take Ryan Nassib, it makes a ton of sense though.  Tyler Wilson or Mike Glennon are possibilities there too.  I think it's safe to say that the Bills will take a QB though.
  • The Vikings need help at WR, DT and LB, I suspect they will select the BPA amongst those that play those positions.  Manti Te'o was the best defensive player in college football last year, until his horrendous January he was a consensus top 10 (if not top 5) pick, taking a gamble on him at number 23 wouldn't surprise me (especially given Rick Speilman's affection for Notre Dame players).
