Vikings 36, Rams 22

The Vikings knocked off the Rams 36-22 today in St Louis.  This win moves the Vikings to 8-6 on the season.  They are still in the thick of the Wildcard race.  It was the Adrian Peterson and Blair Walsh day.  Peterson rushed for 212 yards and 2 TD's.  He's closing in on Eric Dickerson's NFL single season rushing record.  Walsh was 5 for 5 on field goals, with 3 of those being from 50+ yards.  It's amazing to me that the Vikings are 8-6 with the QB play they've gotten from Christian Ponder this year.  The best that I can say about Ponder today is that he didn't make any mistakes, he managed the game well, that won't take them too far though. 

Observations:

• It was nice to see the Vikings play well on the road, they're now 2-5 on the road. 
• The Vikings longest pass completion today was for 14 yards. 
• Everson Griffen looks like he's ready for a starting job.  
• 13 solo tackles by Chad Greenway, plus a sack, he was a beast today.  
• It wasn't CB Josh Robinson's best game.   
• FB Jerome Felton was a great pickup by the Vikings.  
• I like the way Rams WR Danny Amendola plays football.  His spike needs work though.
• Marcus Sherels is no Percy Harvin on kick off returns. 
• Rams RB Steven Jackson seems to still have some life in him.  
• Up next?   @ Houston to take on the Texans.
