That's horrible! What kind of a mascot is a Pelican? I don't care if it is the state bird, it's a slow moving, docile creature, how is that suppose to strike fear into anyone. They should have approached Utah about getting the Jazz name back. Or how about the Storm? Or the Crocodiles? Or Crocs? Or Voodoo? Or even the Catfish? They could have done so much better.
It'll be interesting to see if Charlotte takes back the Hornets name now.
