Vikings 14, Packers 23

The Vikings fall 23-14 to the Packers in Green Bay today.  The Vikings fall to 6-6 on the season.  Christian Ponder was horrendous once again, once again I have to say, I have seen enough of him, his mechanics are a mess, his decision making stinks, his arm strength is severely lacking.  Not one completion to a WR until there were 3 minutes left in the game, that's just not acceptable.  WTF is it going to take to get him benched?  I'm ready to see Joe Webb be given another shot at the QB job.  Looking towards next season's QB?  Alex Smith?  Matt Flynn?  Michael Vick?  Philip Rivers?

Observations:
  • Adrian Peterson is the man210 yards rushing, 1 TD.
  • Speaking of which, why not more play action passes?
  • Teams with a RB with 200+ yards rushing are now 57-3 since 2000.
  • Percy Harvin was much missed.  Hopefully, he will be back next week.
  • The Packers 11 minute drive in the 4th quarter was a killer.
  • A torn labrum explains a lot about Jared Allen's season.
  • Time of possession:  Green Bay 38:30, Minnesota 21:30.  Not good.
  • That Everson Griffin roughing the QB call was very questionable.
  • Thank you to the Tilted Kilt girls for making the day palpable for me.
  • Up next?  Chicago Bears @ Mall of America Field in Minneapolis.
