Vikings 21, Bears 14

The Vikings knocked off the Bears 21-14 today in Minneapolis to move to 7-6 on the season.  The Vikings stay in contention for a Wild Card spot.  The credit for this win goes all to Adrian Peterson and the defense.  Peterson had another 154 yards rushing and 2 TD's.   They got a pick-6 out of Harrison Smith and another near miss pick-6 from Josh Robinson (that lead to a Adrian Peterson TD).   I was again less than impressed by Christian Ponder's QB play, they won despite him not because of him, he is clearly not the long term answer at QB.

Observations:
  • The Vikings are 6-1 at home and 1-5 on the road this year.
  • Less than 100 yards passing once again for Christian Ponder.
  • The Bears were really beat up for this game.  Of course, Percy Harvin was out too.
  • Is Adrian Peterson the Comeback Player of the Year?  Or is it Peyton Manning?
  • Is Adrian Peterson the NFL MVP?  Or is it Peyton Manning?  Close call.
  • Why are the Vikings so reluctant to blitz the QB?
  • Was this Jasper Brinkley's best game as a Viking?   It could have been.
  • Those big Bears WR's were killing the Vikings CB's.
  • Was that John Gagliardi blowning the Gjallarhorn before the game?
  • Up next?  @ St Louis to take on the Rams next Sunday.
