Cardinals 31, Rams 14

The Cardinals continued to roll today with a 31-14 win over the Rams at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale.  The Cardinals improved to an NFL best 8-1 record.  This game was much closer than the score indicated, the Cardinals were trailing 14-10 half way through the fourth quarter at which point they just exploded for 3 quick touchdowns.  Bruce Arians just keeps this team moving forward!  I am officially impressed!

Observations:

• That's how you finish a football game!  
• I really hope that Carson Palmer isn't seriously hurt. It did spark the Cards though.
• This just in, Drew Stanton is a quality back up NFL QB.  
• John "Smokey" Brown has been a true revelation!  
• The Rams have clearly improved since the beginning of the season.  
• Patrick Peterson really stepped up big time for the Cards. 
• What a miserable first quarter for the Cardinals offense.  
• The Cardinals 2 minute defense needs some work. 
• John Carlson's case of the drops continues.  He did redeem himself though. 
• I was expecting more from Ted Ginn Jr on kickoff returns. 
• The Cardinals rushing attack was just dreadful today.  28 yards on 22 carries. 
• It sure is nice having Calais Campbell in the lineup. 
• Yet another nice game from Larry Fitzgerald.  9 catches for 112 yards. 
• The ball skills of the Cardinals secondary is off the charts.  
• Not enough big plays from the Cardinals offense today. 
• Chandler Catanzaro finally missed a field goal, it was a nice run though.
• I still think that the Cardinals could use a big bruising RB. 
• Jaron Brown is a pretty solid WR, get him some PT already.
• The Cardinals benefited big time from that poor Ram's block from behind penalty.
• I have never seen a team get a delay of game penalty on a kickoff. 
• Up next?  Detroit Lions @ University of Phoenix Stadium.
