Arizona State 19, Utah 16

The Sun Devils improved to 7-1 on the season last night with a 19-16 OT win over Utah at Sun Devil Stadium.  It wasn't easy, Taylor Kelly still looks a bit rusty, but that Arizona State defense is just playing out of it's mind at this point.  The Sun Devils still control their destiny in the PAC12 South and are still in the running for an NCAA playoff spot.  Keep it up Devils!

Observations:

• That Taylor Kelly to Jaelen Strong combo is good! 
• Once again, where did this Arizona State defense come from?  
• The Sun Devils red zone troubles continue. 
• Keep an eye on Damario Richard, he's going to be a good one. 
• ASU kicker Zane Gonzales is having himself a nice season. 
• Marcus Hardison has really stepped up his game. 
• Arizona State is much better when they can establish a rushing game. 
• Total Yards:  Arizona State 444, Utah 241
• Turnovers:  Utah 2, Arizona State 0
• Arizona State Third Down Efficiency:  2 for 14
• Much better use of timeouts by the Sun Devils last night. 
• Todd Graham is doing okay against ranked teams.  Overall too. 
• Jordan Simone has been a great story for Arizona State.  
• Does it get much better than Darren Woodson & Eric Allen? 
• You do not want to trail Arizona State at halftime. 
• I'm not sure I'm a fan of the black/maroon Sun Devil uniform combo. 
• Utah has a nice weapon in punter Tom Hackett. 
• Does Arizona State start to get a little respect now? 
• Utah QB Travis Wilson is a tall drink of water. 
• Is ESPN's Gameday headed for Tempe? 
• Up next?  Notre Dame @ Sun Devil Stadium next Saturday.
