2016 Presidential Field Update

Marco Rubio has called it quits on his 2016 Presidential ambitions.  That leaves us with 5 candidates still in the running, 3 Republicans and 2 Democrats.   It seems like only yesterday that there were 22 candidates.

Here's how the remaining candidates rank in my opinion (as far as their chances):

Democrats: 

1. Hillary Clinton
2. Bernie Sanders

Republicans: 

1. Donald Trump
2. Ted Cruz
3. John Kasich

Republican voters never seemed to forgive Marco Rubio for his part in trying to pass comprehensive immigration reform back in 2012.   I also think many Republicans saw him as an empty suit, too inexperienced and better at giving a speech than actually doing his job (similar in their minds to Barack Obama).  I suspect that he winds up on K Street or Fox News in short order as he will probably want to cash in on his Presidential run while not having much responsibility.  Regardless, he was not someone I wanted to see as President, I say good riddance.
