Vikings 41, Eagles 30

The Vikings topped the Eagles 48-30 today in Minneapolis.  The Vikings improve to 4-9-1 on the season. My takeaways from this game, 1) when a team has nothing to play for, they can let it all hang out and play much more aggressively than normal, and 2) it's amazing what a difference quality QB play can make on a team, 3) the Vikings are doing their draft slotting no favors.  It was a nice win, I was happy to see it, the progress of some of their young guys is also nice to watch.   

Observations:

• Can you say trap game for the Eagles?  They completely overlooked the Vikings today. 
• No Adrian Peterson.  No Toby Gerhart.  Matt Asiata was the man at RB today. 
• How did Matt Cassel not get more playing time over Christian Ponder this season? 
• It was nice seeing Harrison Smith back on the field.  
• Today was easily Greg Jennings best game as a Viking.   
• The Eagles fear of kicking off deep to Cordarrelle Patterson was a boon to the Vikings today.
• Time of Possession:  Vikings 36:26, Eagles 23:34.  
• 48 points by the Vikings?  That's their highest scoring total since 1998. 
• Jared Allen is still playing hard, 2 sacks today plus a nice looking long snap.
• TE Chase Ford & CB Shaun Prater have been solid mid-season additions to the Vikings. 
• Despite this win, I'm pretty sure that Leslie Frazier's fate is sealed. 
• There is now only 1 more Vikings game left to be played at Mall of America Stadium!
• Here's the Vikings All-Metrodome team.  Now that's a good team!
• Up next?  @ Cincinnati to take on the Bengals.
