It's about Branch Rickey and the Brooklyn Dodgers signing and the subsequent rookie year of baseball legend Jackie Robinson. It really is a remarkable story of courage and perseverance. If you every wonder why Major League baseball holds a Jackie Robinson Day every season this is a good movie to watch. Chadwick Boseman holds his own as Jackie Robinson, he gives a solid, yet understated performance. Harrison Ford does a fantastic job as Branch Rickey, he seems to be transitioning nicely into older roles. Overall, a good flick about baseball and racial relations, give it a watch.
