The Cardinals knocked off the Seahawks 23-20 in OT today to finish the season with a 8-8 record. Considering that they started the season 1-6, it was a nice run to close the season. Now they just need to carry this momentum into the off season and into next year. I'm optimistic about the future, they've got a good young team without a lot of glaring weaknesses (outside of experience).
Observations:
-The Cardinals finished the year 4-0 in OT this season.
-John Skelton finished with a 6-2 record as starting QB this season. Can you say QB controversy?
-When Todd Heap is healthy and playing, he can make a difference.
-Props out to 5'7", 185 lb LaRod Stephens-Howling (career high 93 yards rushing on 21 carries).
-Props should also go out to Ray Horton, he did a great job with the Cardinals defense.
-Another nice game by Larry Fitzgerald (9 catches for 149 yards), what else is new.
-Darryl Washington was all over the field (11 solo tackles, 1 sack, 3 TFL, 1 PD).
-Another sellout, they have sold out every game since moving into University of Phoenix stadium.
-The Cardinals finished with a 4-2 record in the NFC West.
-Up next? NFL Draft, April 26, 2012. WR please.
