Vikings 17, Redskins 13
Vikings knock off Redskins 17-13 in Leslie Frazier's debut as head coach of the Vikings today. It was a pretty underwhelming performance by both teams but I guess a road win is a road win (it was their first road win this season). This victory moves the Vikings to 4-7 on the season, there's 5 games left, best case scenario is 9-7 on the season (that would lead to an outside chance at a Wildcard spot, don't bet on it though). At this point they just may have been better off losing so that they could get a higher draft pick (and a chance to land either Andrew Luck or Ryan Mallet). Other observation? 1) I really didn't see much difference from a Leslie Frazier coached team and a Brad Childress coached team (same defense, same predictable offense). 2) The Redskins are not that good, how they got 5 wins is beyond me. 3) Toby Gerhart looked good filling in for a banged up Adrian Peterson, he finished with 77 yards on 22 carries and scored 1 TD. 4) The Vikings really need to throw the ball down field more, way too many short passes, they need to keep the offenses honest with some deep throws. 5) Error free game by Favre, Viking win, coincidence? 6) Next week they have Buffalo at home, that's another game that they should win.
