Mid-Term Election Results

I must admit, I'm not real happy with the mid-term election results, but in all honesty they did not surprise me in the least, when times are tough changes are generally made (even if it is sometimes mis-directed change).   The GOP did an excellent job of sowing discontent and rallying their base, I give them credit.  They also did a good job of taking advantage of the recent Supreme Court decision allowing corporations to be treated as people and as such were able to raise record amounts of cash (much of which we have no way of tracing BTW), which they used to mislead the public on a number of issues (socialism, taxes, failed stimulus, failed TARP, health insurance, immigration, need I go on?).  I'm really not too concerned though, the Dems still control the Senate and they have the Presidents veto power in their back pocket, maybe this will be catalyst for congress to actually work together to get things done (I know, wishfuly thinking, why would politicians put the country ahead of their party).
