All Time Twins Team

FIRST TEAM

OUTFIELD
Kirby Pucket -My favorite Twins player ever.
Tony Olivia -If his knee's had held up he'd be in the HOF.
Bobby Allison -Had some great seasons on the early Twins powerhouse teams.

FIRST BASE
Justin Morneau -AL MVP, enough said.

SECOND BASE
Rod Carew -Great hitter, it broke my heart when he went to the Angels.

SHORTSTOP
Zoilo Zersalles -I'm not sure if he had the greatest career of all the Twins SS's but he's the only one with an MVP award.

THIRD BASE
Harmon Killebrew -Hall of Famer, enough said.

CATCHER
Joe Mauer -Perhaps the best hitting catcher ever, Gold Glove winner to boot.

STARTING PITCHERS
Johan Santana -Multiple Cy Young Award winner
Frank Viola -Dominant lefty. 
Bert Blyleven -Should be in the HOF. 
Jack Morris -Only one season as a Twin but that World Series performance one of the best pitching performances ever.
Jim Kaat -Long career, very consistent.


BULLPEN
Rick Aguilera -Closer on WS winning team.
Joe Nathan -Dominant in the closer role.
Jeff Reardon -Had some great seasons.
Eddie Guardado -"Every day" Eddie could do it all.




SECOND TEAM

OUTFIELD
Larry Hisle -Calvin should have resigned him.
Torii Hunter -Best defensive outfielder ever in Twins system, not bad with the bat either.
Tom Brunansky -Tremendous corner outfielder

FIRST BASE
Kent Hrbek  -Great glove, good power, great teammate.

SECOND BASE
Chuck Knoblauch -Had some very good years as a Twin.

SHORTSTOP
Roy Smalley -Debated Smalley or Gagne but Smalley's numbers give him the nod.

THIRD BASE
Gary Gaetti -Great in the field, power at the plate.

CATCHER
Earl Battey -Excellent catcher on the early Twins powerhouses.

STARTING PITCHERS
Brad Radke -Never dominant but consistent for a long time.
Camilo Pascual -Key starter on early Twins teams.
Jim Perry -Long career, solid starter.
Dave Goltz -Twins best pitcher for many a year.
Kevin Tapani -Very solid starter for a long time.

BULLPEN
Doug Corbett -Had some nice years in the Twins bullpen
Mike Marshall -Very solid out of the pen.
Bill Campbell -Very solid out of the pen.
Ron Davis -Shaky at times but overall did a nice job.

BENCH
John Castino
Greg Gagne
George Mitterwald
Leo Cardenas
