Super Bowl XLVIII

Seattle Seahawks 43, Denver Broncos 8

We've definitely gotten spoiled by that string of competitive Super Bowl game that we've seen lately.  This one was a laugher, literally from the opening snap.  It was highly disappointing.  Props to Pete Carroll and the Seattle Seahawks though, they played a heckuva game.  Bring on the NFL Draft.

Observations:
  • Saying that the Seahawks were the better team in this game is an understatement.
  • What's that old saying?  Defense wins championships!  That was certainly the case tonight.
  • Turnovers:  Broncos 4, Seahawks 0
  • This Seahawks team was the second youngest to win the Super Bowl.
  • This game certainly won't bolster Peyton Manning's case as the 'Best QB Ever".
  • Super Bowl MVP:   Malcolm Smith
  • Even the mild New Jersey temperatures were disappointing.  Snow please!!
  • The Arizona Cardinals actually come out of this game looking very good
  • Bruno Mars and the Red Hot Chilli Peppers were the highlight of the night.  Outstanding!
  • The Super Bowl commercials were even disappointing.
  • Nice game for Percy Harvin, I'd still take Cordarrelle Patterson over him though!
  • Super Bowl Doppelganger?   Joe Namath and Macklemore.
  • Up next?  Super Bowl XLIX from Glendale, AZ!!!
