Patriots 23, Cardinals 21

The Cardinals started their season today on SNF with a 23-21 loss at home to the New England Patriots.  I kind of saw this coming all off season.  From the top on down, they just seem to have all gotten a bit too big for their britches.  They are nowhere near as good as they think they are.  The thought they can just plug anyone into their holes and not miss a beat because of their system was shortsighted.  The abysmal preseason should have been a warning sign.  Hopefully, this game will serve as a wake up call to them.

Observations:

• It all boiled down to a bad snap on a late field goal attempt. 
• The Cardinals defense will need to tighten up moving forward. 
• Larry Fitzgerald now has 100 career touchdown catches. 
• Can we get even more David Johnson?  More touches please. 
• I really like the way Markus Golden plays football. 
• Did the Cardinals really start a rookie CB tonight? 
• 1 sack and 1 fumble recovery for ex-Patriot Chandler Jones. 
• Carson Palmer continues to move up in the NFL record books. 
• The Cardinals defense really struggled to get off the field on third down. 
• I like the Cardinals 2 RB set on offense.  
• Frostee Rucker just makes plays, he's a very underrated player. 
• I wasn't a fan of the roughing the QB call on Kevin Minter. 
• Andre Ellington did not impress me on kickoff returns. 
• No Tom Brady, no Rob Gronkowski, no problem for Bill Belichick. 
• NFL=No Fun League, what's wrong with a little celebration?  
• Chris Long did a nice Chandler Jones impersonation. 
• LaGarrette Blount is a load to bring down. 
• I predict that Jimmy Garoppolo nets the Patriots a high draft pick pre-2017 draft.
• Shouldn't the Cardinals have been able to find a better punter by now?
