2014 TPSG NFL Mock Draft 3.0
With NFL Free Agency pretty much shaken out, it seems like a good time to update my NFL Mock Draft. So here goes:
Notes:
Previous Mocks: Mock Draft 1.0 & Mock Draft 2.0
- Houston Texans - Blake Bortles - QB - Central Florida
- St Louis Rams - Greg Robinson - OT - Auburn
- Jacksonville Jaguars - Jadeveon Clowney - DE - South Carolina
- Cleveland Browns - Johnny Manziel - QB - Texas A&M
- Oakland Raiders - Khalil Mack - LB - Buffalo
- Atlanta Falcons - Jake Matthews - OT - Texas A&M
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Sammy Watkins - WR - Clemson
- Minnesota Vikings - Teddy Bridgewater - QB - Louisville
- Buffalo Bills - Mike Evans - WR - Texas A&M
- Detroit Lions - Justin Gilbert - CB - Oklahoma State
- Tennessee Titans - Anthony Barr - LB - UCLA
- New York Giants - Taylor Lewan - OT - Michigan
- St Louis Rams - Marqise Lee - WR - USC
- Chicago Bears - Timmy Jernigan - DT - Florida State
- Pittsburgh Steelers - Ha'Sean Clinton-Dix - DB - Alabama
- Dallas Cowboys - Aaron Donald - DT - Pitt
- Baltimore Ravens - Darqueze Dennard - CB - Michigan State
- New York Jets - Eric Ebron - TE - North Carolina
- Miami Dolphins - Zach Martin - OT - Notre Dame
- Arizona Cardinals - RaShede Hageman - DT - Minnesota
- Green Bay Packers - C.J. Mosley - LB - Alabama
- Philadelphia Eagles - Calvin Pryor - DB - Louisville
- Kansas City Chiefs - Odell Beckham - WR - Louisiana State
- Cincinnati Bengals - Kyle Fuller - CB - Virginia Tech
- San Diego Chargers - Jason Verrett - CB - TCU
- Cleveland Browns - Kelvin Benjamin - WR - Florida State
- New Orleans Saints - Kony Ealy - DE - Missouri
- Carolina Panthers - Cyrus Kouandjio - OT - Alabama
- New England Patriots - Jace Amaro - TE - Texas Tech
- San Francisco 49ers - Bradin Cooks - WR - Oregon State
- Denver Broncos - Bradley Roby - CB - Ohio State
- Seattle Seahawks - Dee Ford - DE - Auburn
Notes:
- I think it's safe to say it's either Bortles or Clowney for the Texans at number 1 overall.
- Greg Robinson seems like a no brainer for the Rams at number 2.
- Gus Bradley has to be drooling at the prospects of Clowney in his defense.
- Me thinks the Browns doth protest too much in regards to Johnny Manziel.
- The Raiders are a wildcard, they could do anything, Mack is the best on board though.
- I'm not convinced that the Vikings will go QB at number 8, they may just wait until round 2 (or trade down later in round 1) and hope for Garoppolo or Carr. I'm not sure where they'd go if not QB at number 8, maybe Anthony Barr. An early QB will happen though.
- I have to believe that the Cardinals will go DL, with a DB is also being a possibility.

300: Rise of an Empire
300: Rise of an Empire - starring Sullivan Stapleton & Eva Green. Despite it's negative reviews, I decided to go see "300: Rise of an Empire" this past weekend. This one is actually a prequel to "300", it shows how the Spartans and
the Greeks joined forces to fight against the mighty Persian army. I'm not quite sure what movie some of those critics saw, I thought this movie was pretty good. Granted, the original was better, but that movie set the bar pretty high, I was still plenty entertained by this one, it was action packed, fast moving, the CGI was very well done, they even threw in a little erotic fun. What's not to like?
I'll give it 4 out of 5 stars (*****).

2014 TGPS NFL Mock Draft 2.0
The NFL Scouting Combine is
has come and gone so I think it's time for a post combine NFL mock
draft. Keep in mind, free agency kicks off on March 11, that will most
likely change things too. The big movers on this mock draft are Derek Carr & Aaron Donald.
So here goes:
Notes:
- Houston Texans - Blake Bortles - QB - Central Florida
- St Louis Rams - Greg Robinson - OT - Auburn
- Jacksonville Jaguars - Jadeveon Clowney - DE - South Carolina
- Cleveland Browns - Sammy Watkins - WR - Clemson
- Oakland Raiders - Johnny Manziel - QB - Texas A&M
- Atlanta Falcons - Jake Matthews - OT - Texas A&M
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Khalil Mack - LB - Buffalo
- Minnesota Vikings - Teddy Bridgewater - QB - Louisville
- Buffalo Bills - Anthony Barr - LB - UCLA
- Detroit Lions - Justin Gilbert - CB - Oklahoma State
- Tennessee Titans - Taylor Lewan - OT - Michigan
- New York Giants - C.J. Mosley - LB - Alabama
- St Louis Rams - Mike Evans - WR - Texas A&M
- Chicago Bears - Timmy Jernigan - DT - Florida State
- Pittsburgh Steelers - Ha'Sean Clinton-Dix - DB - Alabama
- Dallas Cowboys - Aaron Donald - DT - Pitt
- Baltimore Ravens - Marqise Lee - WR - USC
- New York Jets - Eric Ebron - TE - North Carolina
- Miami Dolphins - Zach Martin - OT - Notre Dame
- Arizona Cardinals - Kony Ealy - DE - Missouri
- Green Bay Packers - RaShede Hageman - DT - Minnesota
- Philadelphia Eagles - Calvin Pryor - DB - Louisville
- Kansas City Chiefs - Odell Beckham - WR - Louisiana State
- Cincinnati Bengals - Darqueze Dennard - CB - Michigan State
- San Diego Chargers - Jason Verrett - CB - TCU
- Cleveland Browns - Derek Carr - QB - Fresno State
- New Orleans Saints - Dee Ford - DE - Auburn
- Carolina Panthers - Cyrus Kouandjio - OT - Alabama
- New England Patriots - Jace Amaro - TE - Texas Tech
- San Francisco 49ers - Kyle Fuller - CB - Virginia Tech
- Denver Broncos - Louis Nix - DT - Notre Dame
- Seattle Seahawks - Kelvin Benjamin - WR - Florida State
Notes:
- I'm sticking with Blake Bortles as number 1 overall, QB is the most important position on any team and the Texans need to solidify that spot. Clowney is a possibility too, I'm just not sure that DE is all that pressing of a need for the Texans.
- The Rams will have to be tempted by Clowney too but they absolutely must do something about that OL, I can't see them passing on OT help. A trade down is a distinct possibility for the Rams too.
- Clowney shouldn't drop below number 3, I'm guessing that Gus Bradley is salivating over the possibility of using him in the Jags defense.
- I'm fairly certain that the Browns will take a QB in round 1, I'm not entirely sure which one though, or where, recent speculation is that they are very high on Derek Carr, but not at number 4 overall.
- The Vikings would have to be absolutely thrilled if Teddy Bridgewater falls to them at number 8.
- It appears that the Cardinals are looking at solidifying their OL via free agency rather than the draft. If so, I'm guessing they look at DL help. If not, don't be shocked if they go OL here.
