Vikings 7, Giants 23

The Vikings really stunk it up tonight on MNF as they fall to the previously winless Giants 23-7 in New York.  The Vikings fall to 1-5 on the season.  That is two stinkers in a row for the Vikes, I wouldn't blame Zygi Wilf if he made a coaching change tonight, this performance really was that unacceptable.  Could Mike Singletary, Mike Priefer or George Stewart really do any worse?  If nothing else it would send a message to the fans that ownership isn't going to put up with this garbage.  Either way, they're not going to win another game playing like this. 

Observations:

• Josh Freeman was obviously not ready to be taking snaps yet.   
• I liked Freeman's pocket presence, his accuracy was just dreadful though.  
• Why don't the Vikings ever send Cordarrelle Patterson deep?  
• What the heck happened to the Vikings offensive line? 
• Even Blair Walsh had a rough game.  WTF? 
• Time of Possession:  Giants 36:22, Vikings 23:38
• Adrian Peterson, 28 yards on only 13 carries, that's 2.2 yards per carry. 
• Why didn't the Vikings bring back CB Antoine Winfield again? 
• What have you done to the Vikings Rick Spielman?
• Jared Allen doesn't take games off!  100 games in a row!
• Matt Cassel drops to third on the Vikings QB depth chart.   
• On the bright side, Marcus Sherels returned another punt for a TD. 
• Nice sack by Jared Allen.  Should they trade him now? 
• Up next?  The Packers @ Mall of America Field in Minneapolis next Sunday night.
