Arizona State 53, Washington 24

The Sun Devils routed 20th ranked Washington 53-24 today at Sun Devil Stadium. The Devils improve to 5-2 on the season (and 3-1 in the Pac-12).  This win puts the Devils in the driver's seat in the Pac-12 South.  The ASU defense was the key to this game, they just completely dominated a very good Washington offense.  If ASU can keep their defense playing at this level, combined with their already strong offense, they could really make some noise down the stretch.  Statement victory!

Observations:

• Negative 5 yards rushing for Washington today, that is damn impressive defense.
• 3 more touchdowns for ASU RB Marion Grice, and 158 yards rushing. 
• Only 3 catches for 7 yards for ASU WR Jaelen Strong. 
• The ASU defensive line completely dominated the UW offensive line. 
• Total Yards:  Arizona State 585, Washington 212 
• Time of Possession:  Arizona State 38:40, Washington 21:20
• Arizona State is now 12-0 under Todd Graham when leading at half time.   
• Arizona State is now 5-0 at home this season.  
• 317 yards rushing from Arizona State, that's unheard of. 
• Yet another strong performance out of ASU QB Taylor Kelly. 
• Only 22 yards rushing on 13 carries (1.7 yards per carry) for Bishop Sankey.
