Barack Obama wins! Thank God! I predict that historians are going to look back at President Obama's first term very favorably. No doubt there were some rough spots along the way but considering where he started and considering the opposition he faced, he has done a remarkable job. Hopefully, he will face less opposition going forward and congress will decide that it's time to start governing again and his second term will run smoother.
Moderation wins? Todd Akin, Richard Mourdock, Allen West, Joe Walsh and Joe "The Plumber" Wurzelbacher all lost. Michele Bachmann narrowly squeaked out a win. I think America is tiring of the right wing zealots.
Status Quo wins? 6+ billion dollars were spent on this election and we have essentially the same make up of Washington as before, Democratic President & Senate, Republican House. Some people may not be real pleased with the return on their investments.
Welcome aboard! Good to see Tim Kaine & Elizabeth Warren joining the Senate, good to see Alan Grayson rejoin U.S. House. I'm a big fan of all, the democrats need their strong voices in Washington.
Arizona stays red. Romney, Flake, Arpaio all win. C'mon Hispanics, get out and vote already. Thank God for Kyrsten Sinema. I was a bit perturbed at some of the shenanigans taking place at the polling stations, why is everyone so afraid of letting people vote?
Nate Silver is the man. If the GOP wants to regain the Presidency they need to move to the middle. Hillary Clinton vs Jeb Bush in 2016? Hopefully, people stop taking George Will so seriously. Speaking of which, isn't it time people stop listening to Dick Morris? Republicans should be rejoicing that they don't have to be running Mitt Romney again in 2016. Something has to be done before 2016 about all the voter suppression tactics that we saw this year.

Vikings 20, Seahawks 30
The Vikings continue to struggle, falling to the Seahawks 30-20 today in Seattle. The Vikings fall to 5-4 on the season, they've now lost 3 of their last 4 games. I think I've seen enough of Christian Ponder, I think it's fair to conclude that they reached on him in the draft, I'm not sure if he's anything better than a back-up QB, he's undersized, he lacks arm strength, he can't throw on the run, he struggles with his accuracy, he struggles under pressure, I'm just not seeing much of anything out of him that leads me to believe he's the long term answer at QB. I doubt the Vikings give up on him so quickly though. I'd rather see Joe Webb at QB at this point.
Observations:
Observations:
- We saw the good and bad from Percy Harvin today.
- The Vikings rush defense was woeful today. I'm sick of the Cover-2 Defense.
- Christian Ponder was 11/22 for 68 yards, sacked 4 times, 37.3 QB rating.
- Defense once again created no turnovers.
- I'm still in awe of rookie kicker Blair Walsh.
- Adrian Peterson was in hulk mode today. He topped the 1000 yard mark for the season.
- Remember that win over the Redskins last year? It's proving costly.
- Marshawn Lynch is a pretty good running back, he's fun to watch.
- I'm ready to see Joe Webb given a legitimate shot at the QB job.
- Up next? Detroit @ home next Sunday.
Cardinals 17, Packers 31
The Cardinals continue to struggle, falling to the Packers 31-17 today in Green Bay. It's the Cardinals 5th straight loss and drops them to 4-5 on the season. They seemed to come out real lackadaisical, they picked things up in the 3rd quarter but in the end just ran out of steam. Their offense is just not good enough to compete at a high level right now. How did they do nothing to replace Levi Brown, Beanie Wells or even Ryan Williams at the trade deadline. Should we start looking towards the draft yet? How about Luke Joeckel?
Observations:
Observations:
- I'm still waiting for Patrick Peterson to break off a punt return for a TD.
- Randall Cobb is becoming quite the weapon for the Packers.
- Hold on to the ball Early Doucet, low margin of error and all that.
- I'm not seeing the same intensity out of the defense that I saw earlier in the season.
- LaRod Stephens-Howling always plays hard. He should be returning kicks still too though.
- The 2012 Cardinals draft class has been a disappointment.
- John Skelton passed for 306 yards, how come I wasn't more impressed?
- Give the Packers WR's some credit, they made some nice plays.
- Surprise, surprise, still no Todd Heap.
- Up next? Bye week next week, then @ Atlanta in 2 weeks.

Arizona St 26, Oregon St 36
The Devils fell to the Beavers 36-26 last night in Corvalis. The Devils fall to 5-4 on the season, despite their promising start, this season is shaping up much the same as last season with the Devils slumping down the stretch. Big plays were the key, Oregon St had plays of 50, 35, 53 & 49 yards, ASU on the other hand again struggled to stretch the field, their longest play was for 26 yards and that was a scramble by Taylor Kelly. 3 games left (USC, Washington State & Arizona), 2 of which are on the road, another 6-6 finish looks likely.
Observations:
Observations:
- The ASU offense is really struggling at this point of the season.
- I'm still waiting for a WR to step up.
- It was good to see Will Sutton back on the field. He's a beast.
- Taylor Kelly really struggled at QB, not his best game.
- The ASU secondary needs to step it up, they didn't have a good game.
- Cameron Marshall has had a nice career at ASU.
- Another TD for Marion Grice, that's 13 TD's on the season for him.
- Josh Huber continues to shine at punter.
- 3 straight opponenvs have gained 400+ yards against the Devils.
- Up next? @ USC next Saturday to take on the Trojans.

Minnesota 13, Michigan 35
No surprise, Michigan retained the Little Brown Jug, knocking off the Gophers 35-13 today in Minneapolis. The Gophers fall to 5-4 on the season, they remain 1 game from bowl eligibility. The Gophers just gave up too many big plays today, everytime it looked like they had a stop, Michigan would hit something deep. Conversely, nobody really stepped up big for the Gophers, someone needed to make a big play or two and nobody did. Overall, a pretty lackluster performance, too many mental mistakes, some questionable play calling, no big plays, they really need to play better if they want to take that next step as a program.
Observations:
Observations:
- I wasn't a fan of the fake field goal attempt, they should have taken the points.
- Too many penalties by the Gophers today. Some questionable calls too though.
- The Gophers red zone offense needs a lot of work.
- On the bright side, it was much better than losing 58-0.
- Devin Gardner did a nice job replacing Denard Robinson.
- Rashede Hageman was a beast again in the middle today.
- Was that Ben Utecht singing the National Anthem?
- Taylor Lewan would have looked nice on the Gopher OL.
- Keenan Cooper wore Gary Tinsley's honorary number 51 today.
- Up next? @ Illinois next Saturday.
