Vikings 25, Titans 16

The Vikings opened their season today with a 25-16 win over the Titans in Nashville.  The Vikings go to 1-0 on the season. It wasn't pretty but it was a win, on the road at that. The defense showed that they are championship caliber.  The offense is still a work in progress after losing their starting quarterback less than 2 weeks ago though. Still, I'll take it.

Observations:

• Shaun Hill did a nice bit of game management today.  
• I suspect that Sam Bradford starts next week. 
• The Vikings defense was bending but not breaking.   
• At some point the Vikings offense will need to score a touchdown. 
• Thank heavens for Eric Kendricks and Danielle Hunter!  
• Stefon Diggs is no one year wonder.  He's pretty good.  
• Why did the Titans go for that 2 point conversion late in the game? 
• It was nice to see Adam Thielen contributing. 
• I really hope that Xavier Rhodes doesn't miss extended game time. 
• The Vikings offense was way too predictable today. 
• Turnovers:  Titans 3, Vikings 0
• I like how Mike Zimmer is able to make in game adjustments to his defense. 
• Get Cordarrelle Patterson more involved in the offense please. 
• The Vikings may want to consider using Adrian Peterson more in the preseason. 
• Is it too early to panic about Vikings kicker Blair Walsh? 
• Danielle Hunter is going to be a star.  Super Freak! 
• How did Jarius Wright fall so far down on the depth chart?  
• When did the Titans add Andre Johnson?  
• With all the musical talent in Nashville why is Billy Ray Cyrus singing the anthem? 
• Up next?  Packers @ U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis next Sunday night.
