Cardinals 27, Rams 3

The Cardinals avenged an earlier loss to the Rams with a 27-3 win over the Rams today in St. Louis.  The Cardinals improve to 10-2 on the season with this win.  They now have a 3 game lead in the NFC West with just 4 games to go.  They are 2 games back of Carolina for the number 1 seed in the playoffs though, Carolina will be tough to catch, but they also have a 2 game lead on the Vikings/Packers for the number 2 seed in the playoffs, that's looking like a lock. Nice win Cards!

Observations:

• That didn't look like the same Rams team that beat the Cardinals.  
• David Johnson looked very good in his first extended playing time. 
• The Cardinals are almost unbeatable since Carson Palmer joined the team. 
• Can we just put Larry Fitzgerald in the Hall of Fame right now?
• Great adjustment by J.J. Nelson on that touchdown catch.   
• The Cardinals did a nice job of containing Todd Gurley. 
• Bruce Arians deserves to be mentioned with the best coaches in the NFL. 
• First Downs:  Cardinals 29, Rams 9
• Total Yards:  Cardinals 524, Rams 212
• Time of Possession:  Cardinals 39:47, Rams 20:13
• Cardinal fans are traveling very well this season. 
• When did the Cardinals become such a good road team? 
• The Cardinals lead the NFL in point differential. 
• Carson Palmer is still very much in the MVP race. 
• The Cardinals defense has been lights out on 3rd down the last two weeks.
• Not many players can get away with dumping water on the team owner. 
• Kerwynn Williams is an NFL quality running back. 
• I don't think that Nick Foles is the long term answer at QB for the Rams.
• Could this be the Cardinals last trip to St. Louis for the foreseeable future? 
• Up next?  Minnesota Vikings on Thursday night in Glendale, AZ
